Word Cloud
Thank you to www.Wordle.net ceated by Jonathan Feinberg for allowing me to create my very own "Word Cloud" from my Blog.
MY WEB USE
I know and understand how to subscribe to a RSS feed on all my favorite Web sites so that it can be added to my Google Reader. It has become one of the most useful ways for me to gather all the links that I enjoy together on one Web site to visit instead of visiting each one separately like I did in the past.
I understand and now pick out the Dos and Don’ts when it comes to Etiquette on social Web sites. I definitely look over what I post on any Web site and social networks.
I did not know much about Wiki before this class. I have learned it is a collection of linked webpages that people contribute their expertise on specific topics. That Wiki is a central location for businesses projects so that everyone can have access to it and can attach relevant documents. I had no idea that since 2007 Wiki’s have become more popular the Blogs.
I had never heard of Linkedln before and now know that it is a social network to connect with other professional colleagues. Might help me get that inside connection to the company I am looking to work for. It is much different from Facebook where it is helping me build a professional profile for employment. Also I can find other users that share the same professional interest as me. This is definitely a social network that I would love to be a part of when I am ready to look for employment in the near future.

TWITTER ETIQUETTE
"Twitter Etiquette: Five Dos and Don'ts" is a guideline to follow when using your Twitter account.
(1) “How to Follow and Un-Follow People,” pick the people that you want to follow you but don’t feel obligated to follow them back. Only follow the ones that you feel you have a common interest with. You should follow people that you trust. Don’t feel offended if someone chooses to un-follow you.
(2) “Be Up Front about Your Twitter Aspirations,” always make clear of who you are on Twitter and what you represent, even if you need to add a link to a personal page of yours.
(3) “Be Personal,” don’t be afraid to be yourself! Tweet about issues that have meaning to you are welcome.
(4) “Reciprocate Gracefully,” implies to be honest, respectful, and unselfish of others opinions but don’t be afraid to define your views on a subject even if it stirs the pot a little.
(5) “Use the Direct Message Correctly,” which allows you to reach out to a follower privately. Remember that those direct messages are sent to them through email. These are messages that are not any concern of the other followers. If you are considering posting their message on Twitter make sure you ask permission first and then include there name.

FINDING YOURSELF
I put my name Emily Faith Snyder in the Google search engine without using quotations and I came out with about 4,300,000 results. None of these recommended Web sites refer or belong to me. Mostly MySpace pages and obituaries are recommended belonging to other Emily Faith Snyder's. After about the 4th result it starts to break my name down and spell my last name differently to get results.
Next, I put my name in quotations, "Emily Faith Snyder" and I only received about 6 results. Again none of the results belong or are about me. The same first few results came up and some new results.
I’m not surprised that there aren’t any results within these searches related to me. I make sure that with every Web site or Social site I add myself to that I change the privacy settings right away.
