NO, I do not feel that Digg reflects the current news as it is reported on traditional online news Web sites. Traditional online Web sites like CNN or Fox news have video, breaking news articles, pictures and more on their main page. Digg just post links with just the first few lines of the article to draw you in that you have to open.
On traditional news web sites articles are not listed by popularity they are only listed by what is current, top priority, or breaking news. I see Digg as one big community that many contribute to and share what they feel is news. Digg also allows others to share their opinion and vote on stories so that it can be seen as a popular/top story.
