TEXT MESSAGING ETIQUETTE

“Text Messaging Etiquette: To Text or Not to Text is an article about giving you 6 simple tips to ensure that you never become rude or annoy others while texting on your cell phone.

1) “Too many texts?” Unless you know the person very well there comes a point when you need to just stop texting and call or email them.

2) “Reconsider that texted marriage proposal,” is talking about major events, important information, or news about your life should never be text to others.

3) “The “other people” factor,” means keeping your texting if you absolutely have to, to a minimum when around others. Don’t be rude.

4) “Keep it simple,” means using abbreviations or just a simple word when texting others.

5) “A reply is not always needed,” means you don’t always have to reply with a text you can reply with a phone call or email message as well.

6) “Never be “that guy” or girl,” is a simple way of telling you that when you are at an event, movie theater, private/public gathering you should excuse yourself if you absolutely need to text on your phone.
