So after subscribing to feeds in Google Reader I have found some advantages and disadvantages.
An advantage to subscribing to feeds would be that I can post the Web sites that I am subscribed to on my blog and share with my followers so that if they enjoy the same sites they can see the up to date information while visiting my blog. Another advantage that I see is that when I am searching for something in general I can just type in the search term and it will search for Web feeds containing that term and give me a list of sample feeds which I can go through and subscribe from there.

A disadvantage would have to be subscribing to too many Web feeds and I don't have the time to look at all the updated information. Another disadvantage is that the feed reader only displays the title and the first few lines of the story. You still have to click on the link and enter the Web site. This becomes a hassle when you want to read up on updated information from different Web feeds.
